Day 4 The Adventures of Bingle Boink

The orcs are getting closer, the first weapon shop we approach has sold out. The next weapon shop is the biggest I've ever seen, there are large burly guards at the doors scrutinizing everyone's intentions. We all get in . It appears that the weapons can be bought on credit, however; I notice that you must sign a magical document which set the hairs on the back of my neck to stir. I scanned the shop and realized there was no way we were going to leave with stolen goods.

Sidonia managed to buy four magic daggers with no way of paying for them .An elf named Frankwin Salish offered to pay Sids bill if she became his slave. Krog comes up with a great idea of reselling the daggers.Sid does so and is rewarded with a profit. We leave the store 1500 gold pieces each the richer. The only thing left for us to do is to fight on the wall. We position ourselves close to the stairs in the event that we have to escape quickly. We watch as the orcs approach. Everyone is silent, there are orcs as far as the eye can see. The orcs advance to within 300 yards of the castle walls.

These are strange tactics that orcs are not known for. Behind us a large sphere that dropped from airship earlier has begun to glow. The runes in the sphere glow brighter suddenly everything goes black Sid loses a magic spell everyone else is momentarily blinded.

The orcs choose this time to attack, and fighting begins. Stib and Sid retrieve potions from below as we need them. I suggest not pushing the ladders back to the orcs but pulling them up so that we can use them. We engage the orcs who have managed to get on top of the wall. A fierce battle ensues and out of the corner of my eye I see Trax go down. Stib finds potions and restores Trax. As we are fighting I hear an odd sound, magic users from our side are firing on the orcs, they kill many. There appear to be magic users everywhere.

Stib notices that the runes are glowing once again, he quickly alerts the magic users to the danger and they are saved. The clouds begin to glow red and an airship falls from the sky. The magic users protect the landed occupants by burning a radius around them and carrying them to safety on their discs. Stib and Sid returned with news that magic is coming from orcs on the West wall. They are correct, a shimmer of air “orc fist” attacks, Krog, Trax, Stib go down.

At this time the orcs ascend the wall and I fight to protect my downed companions. Another airship falls. magic users move in to protect them. An orc horn sounds and the orcs stop advancing. The magic users attack the orb into courtyard with a combined lightning bolt. We all take cover when we hear a loud crack and see a brilliant white light. We look out to see that the orb has been destroyed and the magic users are gone.

The orcs retreat. We see two military ships land in the courtyard, the cheers are deafening. We are all lucky to have survived which could not have been possible without the help of Stib and Sid who came to our aid with much needed potions. I think I managed to kill 34 and a half smelly orcs. I think my companions have similar numbers.

The rain has finally stopped. We wonder who controlled the orcs. For now we are happy we exist even covered in wretched orc blood. We are all very pleased with the outcome of this battle,we are all heros...I wonder who has to clean up? If they took prisoners I suppose that would be a good job for them.
